Quick answer
A private Brighton day tour from London with Chauffeurz costs from £475 per vehicle (around US$600) for a full 8-hour day in a Budget Saloon up to 3 passengers. Executive MPV for up to 6 passengers is £820 (~US$1,040), roughly US$173 each in a group of 6. All prices are per vehicle, not per person. Your chauffeur collects you at 10:00 after breakfast, drives you south to Brighton via the M23, and gives you a full afternoon and evening at the coast before bringing you home. The Royal Pavilion, the seafront, the Brighton Lanes, the pier, the beach , at your own pace, with your own private car waiting throughout.
England’s most colourful city , fifty miles south of London
Brighton is the antidote to London. A Regency seafront, a prince’s pleasure palace that looks like it belongs in India, a tangle of medieval lanes full of independent shops and restaurants, a working pier, and a pebble beach that the English go to in all weather. A private chauffeur from your hotel door means you arrive at the seafront, not at Brighton station. Your car is waiting wherever you need it. The day is yours.

The day, hour by hour
10:00
Collection from your hotel
Rush hour has cleared. Your chauffeur arrives at your hotel and you head south via the M23 and A23 through Surrey and into Sussex.
10:00 to 11:15
Drive to Brighton via the M23
Approximately 55 miles, about 70 to 75 minutes. London gives way to the Surrey hills and the South Downs. The sea appears as you crest the last ridge above Brighton. Your chauffeur drops you near the seafront and parks nearby.
11:15 to 12:30
Royal Pavilion
Visit first, before the afternoon crowds. John Nash’s extraordinary Regency pleasure palace for the Prince Regent, built between 1787 and 1823 in an Indo-Saracenic style that looks completely out of place on the Sussex coast and is all the more extraordinary for it. The Music Room and the Banqueting Room are the highlights , both have been fully restored. Allow 60 to 75 minutes inside.
12:30 to 13:30
The Brighton Lanes , lunch
The Lanes is a tangle of narrow medieval streets between the Royal Pavilion and the seafront, packed with independent restaurants, jewellers, antique shops, and cafes. The best lunch area in Brighton. Your chauffeur can suggest a table based on your preference. The Food Warehouse and The Gingerman are both popular with visitors.
13:30 to 16:30
The seafront, the pier, and the beach
Three hours at the seafront. Brighton Palace Pier has been a working entertainment pier since 1899 and is free to walk. The beach is pebble, not sand, and best with a deck chair from one of the rental stalls. The seafront promenade runs from the ruined West Pier eastward to the Marina. The i360 observation tower offers views across the coast if weather permits. Your chauffeur waits and is reachable throughout.
16:30 to 17:00
North Laine , optional
North Laine is Brighton’s alternative quarter, directly north of the Lanes , independent record shops, vintage clothing, street art, and a different atmosphere from the seafront. Worth 30 minutes if your group enjoys that kind of street. Skip it if you want more time at the beach.
17:00 to 18:15
Return to London via the M23
About 55 miles, 70 to 80 minutes. A 17:00 departure avoids the worst of the M25 southbound traffic that builds from around 17:30. Back at your hotel by 18:15.

Questions
How much does a private Brighton day tour from London cost?+
Private Brighton day tours start from £475 (around US$600) for a Budget Saloon up to 3 passengers for 8 hours. Executive MPV for up to 6 passengers is £820 (~US$1,040), roughly US$173 each in a group of 6. First Class Saloon is £1,055 and Luxury SUV is £1,670. All prices per vehicle, not per person, VAT included.
How long does it take to drive from London to Brighton?+
Approximately 70 to 75 minutes from Central London via the M23 and A23, leaving at 10:00 after rush hour clears. The 55-mile drive is straightforward at that hour. The return at 17:00 is similar. Brighton is one of the closer destinations on the tour programme.
Is a guide included?+
No. Your chauffeur drives, waits, and knows Brighton well. He can suggest where to eat, how to structure the day, and the best spots to photograph the pier and the Pavilion. He does not provide formal historical commentary. A Blue Badge Guide can be arranged from £250 if you want expert commentary at the Royal Pavilion and the Lanes.
Is the Royal Pavilion worth visiting?+
Yes, genuinely. It is one of the most unusual royal buildings in Europe and one that photographs cannot fully convey. The exterior looks extraordinary from the gardens. The interior is even more so. Budget about 60 to 75 minutes inside. Admission ~£17 adult. Book in advance at brightonmuseums.org.uk.
Is Brighton beach sand or pebbles?+
Pebbles. The English refer to this as a shingle beach. It is not ideal for bare feet or for sitting without a deck chair, but the beach hut rental stalls sell chairs and windbreaks. The seafront promenade runs the full length of the beach and is easy to walk on. The sea itself is cold but swimmable in summer.
Is there a minimum number of passengers?+
No. The price is per vehicle, not per person. An Executive MPV at £820 for 6 passengers works out at roughly US$173 each for a full 8-hour private day at the coast.
What is the cancellation policy?+
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before your collection time. Inside 24 hours, charges apply as set out in our Terms and Conditions.
