How is daily hire different from hourly hire?+
Hourly hire is a flexible block starting at 4 hours — ideal when you are not sure how long you will need the driver. Daily hire is a fixed pack of 8 or 10 hours at the same effective rate as hourly, but with the driver and vehicle guaranteed for the full block. The value is in the certainty, not a discount. If you already know your day will run past 6 hours, book daily so the driver is committed to you and cannot be dispatched elsewhere mid-day. Weekly retainers of 5 or more consecutive days do carry a genuine discount of approximately 10 percent per day.
What exactly is included in the daily rate?+
Everything for a full working or leisure day: dedicated chauffeur, dedicated vehicle, all fuel, London Congestion Charge, ULEZ, all standard parking, all waiting time, meet-and-greet, bottled water, phone chargers, wifi in S-Class and Luxury, child seats on request, and formal chauffeur uniform. Mileage inclusive up to 80 miles at 8 hours or 100 miles at 10 hours. The rate you see is the rate you pay — no meter, no surge, no fuel surcharge, no waiting-time fee. How does the mileage allowance work?+
Standard formula across all tiers: 4 hours includes 40 miles, and each additional hour adds 10 miles. So an 8-hour booking includes 80 miles inclusive, and a 10-hour booking includes 100 miles maximum inclusive. Additional miles beyond the allowance are charged at £1.50 per mile for Executive, £2.00 for First Class and Luxury Van, and £3.00 for Luxury (Range Rover, Bentley, Rolls-Royce). This structure works comfortably for a full London day (typically 30-60 miles) or a return trip to Windsor (roughly 50 miles). For longer destinations we quote the mileage supplement upfront.
What happens if my day runs longer than 8 or 10 hours?+
Additional hours beyond the booked block are billed at the standard hourly rate for your tier — £75 per hour Executive, £100 First Class, £97.50 Luxury Van, £150 Luxury. Each additional hour also extends the mileage allowance by 10 miles. There is no penalty and no rebooking; the driver simply stays and continues the day. Business dinners run over, theatre nights extend into drinks, sightseeing days need one more stop — extension is a normal part of daily hire. Confirm with your driver or WhatsApp dispatch and the vehicle stays with you.
Can I use daily hire for day trips outside London?+
Yes — daily hire is designed for exactly this. Windsor Castle (roughly 50 miles round trip) fits comfortably within the 8-hour allowance. Cambridge or Oxford (approximately 130 and 110 miles round trip) fit within the 10-hour allowance with a small mileage supplement. Bath, Stonehenge, or the Cotswolds (170-250 miles round trip) require the 10-hour format plus a per-mile supplement quoted upfront. Trips beyond about 100 miles from Central London that require the driver to stay overnight incur an accommodation supplement of typically £120-180 quoted before you confirm.
Can I retain the same driver across multiple days?+
Yes — multi-day and weekly retainers keep the same driver and vehicle across your entire stay. Weekly rates apply from 5 consecutive days: Executive drops to £540 per day (from £600), First Class to £720 (from £800), Luxury Van to £700 (from £780). Luxury (Range Rover, Bentley, Rolls-Royce) is quoted on request for multi-day retainers. The same-driver benefit compounds across the week: they learn your schedule, your preferences, and shortcuts you did not know existed. Do you provide child seats and accept pets?+
Child seats provided free of charge — rear-facing infant seats, forward-facing toddler seats, and booster seats. Specify the child's age and weight when booking so the correct seat is installed before pickup. For pets, small dogs travel free in a carrier; larger dogs are welcome in Luxury Van (V-Class) or Executive at the driver's discretion — please advise at the time of booking. An additional cleaning fee of £40-60 may apply for muddy or shedding pets. Assistance dogs travel free without any restrictions.
What is your cancellation policy for daily hire?+
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before pickup for Executive and First Class bookings. Luxury Van and Luxury (Range Rover, Bentley, Rolls-Royce) require 48 hours notice as the vehicles are taken off fleet rotation. Late cancellations within these windows are billed at 50 percent of the day rate; same-day cancellations at 100 percent. Weekly retainers require 72 hours notice for a partial refund of unused days. Booking amendments (date change, tier upgrade, itinerary change) are free at any point subject to availability — simply contact WhatsApp dispatch.
How far in advance should I book daily hire?+
Standard bookings: 48 hours ahead ensures the tier and driver you prefer. Same-day daily bookings are accepted subject to availability with no surge premium. Peak-season leisure (May-September, Wimbledon fortnight, Royal Ascot week, Chelsea Flower Show): 7-10 days ahead for Luxury tier especially. Multi-day retainers and film production days: 2-3 weeks minimum to guarantee the same driver across the full block. Corporate accounts with recurring daily bookings can be set up with priority dispatch to avoid last-minute availability issues entirely.
