Can your chauffeur drive my own vehicle?+
Yes. Chauffeur-only is exactly that — our driver arrives at your address and takes over your Bentley, Range Rover, Mercedes S-Class, Rolls-Royce, or family V-Class for the day, week, or month. Additional-driver insurance is arranged before the first assignment (either added to your existing policy at your request, or covered by our commercial fleet insurance). Full vetting of our chauffeur's licence, DBS check, and insurance history is shared with you or your insurer in advance.
Will I have the same chauffeur every day?+
Yes. Full-time and part-time hire assigns a dedicated chauffeur to you specifically, and that driver remains your driver throughout the contract. You interview and approve them before the assignment begins. For sick-leave or holiday cover, we assign a named backup driver who is briefed in advance on your routines and preferences — you are never handed to a random dispatch rotation.
What is the minimum contract length?+
Event bookings can be single day. Part-time bookings require a minimum four-week initial period, after which they roll on 30-day rolling notice. Full-time monthly retainers require a three-month initial period, then roll on 30-day rolling notice. This protects both parties — you get a committed driver, and we can hold the right chauffeur for you exclusively. No long-term lock-in beyond the initial period.
Do your chauffeurs sign NDAs for confidential clients?+
Yes, at no additional cost. Non-disclosure agreements are signed by the assigned driver before the first booking for any client requesting them — standard for celebrities, high-net-worth families, public figures, and corporate C-suite confidential travel. Chauffeurz also holds a company-wide confidentiality policy binding on every driver regardless of NDA status. Your own custom NDA form is accepted; alternatively we provide a standard template drafted with a UK employment solicitor.
How is insurance handled on my own vehicle?+
Two options. Option one: your chauffeur is added as a named driver to your existing motor insurance policy — we provide their full licence and driving history documentation for your insurer. Option two: your vehicle is driven under our commercial fleet insurance for the duration of the assignment, which is often smoother for short-term or event bookings. Both options are fully compliant and require no excess payment from you in the event of an incident (barring driver-caused wilful damage, which is covered separately by our indemnity).
What if the assigned chauffeur doesn't fit?+
You can request a replacement within the first two weeks of any assignment, no reason required, no financial penalty. Chauffeur-client fit is deeply personal — personality, driving style, timekeeping preferences, communication register — and we would rather rotate one driver early than have a bad match run for months. We schedule a formal check-in call at week two and month one to make sure the assignment is working for you.
Can you provide chauffeurs for long-distance UK travel, not just London?+
Yes. Chauffeur-only hire is not restricted to London — if your itinerary takes you to your country house in the Cotswolds, to Royal Ascot, to a Wimbledon final, to your Scottish sporting estate, or on a multi-day UK tour, your dedicated chauffeur travels with you. Overnight accommodation for the driver is billed at cost (typically £120-180 per night), or arranged into your own hotel booking at no cost.
