The Cathedral is at its most atmospheric during evensong (5:30pm weekdays, 3:15pm Sundays) and its Christmas Eve Midnight Mass. Autumn (October-November) offers golden light through the medieval stained glass and thinner crowds. The Canterbury Festival in October brings classical music and literature events.
