Cookies Policy
Effective from 3 August 2026
This policy explains what cookies we use on chauffeurz.london, what each one does, how long it lasts, and how you control them. Cookies in the United Kingdom are governed by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, alongside the UK General Data Protection Regulation. What we do with the personal information behind a booking is a separate subject, covered in our Privacy Policy.

1. What this policy covers
1.1 This policy applies to chauffeurz.london and explains our use of cookies and similar technologies, including local storage, pixels and tags. For convenience, all of them are referred to here as cookies.
1.2 It does not cover what we do with the personal information you give us when you book a journey. That is set out in our Privacy Policy. The internal standards we apply to all personal information are set out in our Data Protection Policy.
1.3 It does not cover cookies set by other websites you reach through a link from ours. See section 11.
2. What cookies are
2.1 A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. It allows the site to recognise your device on later pages or later visits, and to remember things such as a preference you have set or a choice you have made.
2.2 Session cookies last only until you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain on your device for a set period, or until you delete them.
2.3 First party cookies are set by our own website. Third party cookies are set by another organisation whose service appears on our pages, such as our booking platform or our analytics provider.
2.4 Similar technologies do the same job by different means. Local storage keeps information in your browser rather than in a cookie file. A pixel is a tiny image or piece of code that records that a page was loaded. We treat all of them the same way in this policy.
3. Your choices, and how to change them
3.1 When you first visit our site, a banner asks whether you accept cookies that are not strictly necessary. Nothing optional is set until you choose.
3.2 You can accept all, reject all, or choose by category. Rejecting optional cookies does not restrict anything. The site, the pages and the booking form all work exactly the same way.
3.3 You can change or withdraw your choice at any time, through the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, and takes effect immediately for cookies set afterwards. Cookies already stored can be cleared through your browser, as described in section 8.
3.4 Your choice is remembered for a limited period, after which we ask again, so that a decision you made a long time ago is not treated as agreement forever.
3.5 Browsing our website is not treated as consent. Consent means an active choice you have made.
4. The categories we use
Strictly necessary. Required for the website to work and to be secure, including keeping a session alive, protecting forms against abuse, and remembering your cookie choice itself. These do not require consent, because the site cannot be delivered without them. They cannot be switched off.
Functional. Set by the reservation platform that powers our booking form, so that a quote or a booking in progress is not lost between steps. Without them the booking form cannot complete a reservation.
Analytics. Tell us, in aggregate, how many people visit, which pages they read and where they arrived from, so that we can improve the site. Set only with your consent.
Marketing. We do not currently use advertising or cross site tracking cookies. If that changes, this policy and the consent banner will be updated before any such cookie is set.
5. The cookies we use
5.1 The table below lists the cookies used on this site. Durations are approximate, because a provider may adjust them.

We review this table periodically. If you find a cookie on our site that is not listed here, tell us at contact@chauffeurz.london and we will investigate and update the page.
6. Third party services on our pages
6.1 Our booking form is supplied by an external reservation platform and appears on our pages within a frame. That platform sets the functional cookies listed above. They are necessary for the form to work, and we cannot remove them without removing the ability to book online.
6.2 Google Analytics processes visit data on our behalf and provides it to us in aggregate. It is loaded only after you consent to analytics cookies.
6.3 Where we link to WhatsApp, to a review platform or to a social profile, no cookie is set by that service until you follow the link. From that point, their own policies apply.
6.4 If we add a maps embed, a video embed, a live chat tool or an advertising tag in future, we will list it here and place it behind consent before it goes live.
7. How long cookies last
7.1 Durations are shown for each cookie in section 5. Session cookies disappear when you close your browser. Persistent cookies expire on the date set when they were created, unless you delete them sooner.
7.2 A cookie expiring does not delete the aggregate statistics already produced from it. Those are held as described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Managing cookies in your browser
8.1 Every major browser lets you see the cookies stored on your device, delete them, block them, or be warned before one is set. The relevant setting is usually found under Privacy or Site settings.
8.2 Blocking all cookies, including strictly necessary ones, will stop parts of this site and most other sites from working correctly. Blocking optional cookies alone has no effect on how our site functions.
8.3 Deleting cookies removes your saved cookie choice as well, so the banner will appear again on your next visit.
8.4 Settings apply to the browser and the device you change them on. If you use more than one, you will need to change each.
9. Automated privacy signals
9.1 Browsers vary in how they send Do Not Track and similar signals, and there is no agreed United Kingdom standard for how a website should respond. We therefore rely on the choice you make in our banner, which is specific to this site and which you can change at any time.
10. What we do not do
10.1 We do not use cookies to build an advertising profile of you, and we do not run behavioural advertising on this website.
10.2 We do not sell information obtained through cookies, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
10.3 We do not use cookies to collect special category information, and we do not attempt to identify individuals through analytics data.
10.4 We do not place non essential cookies on your device before you have consented to them.
11. Other websites
11.1 Our site links to services we do not control, including our booking platform, review sites and social media. Once you leave chauffeurz.london, their cookie practices and their policies apply, not ours.
12. Changes, contact and complaints
12.1 We update this policy when we add, remove or change a cookie, and when the law changes. The effective date at the top of this page shows the current version. Where a change is significant, the consent banner is shown again so that you can review your choices.
